Graduation tomorrow! Congratulations to all the seniors! I'm going to be so sad to see some of you go :(
Summer Book Club! I've got plenty of books in boxes at my desk if anyone wants to join in. Also, don't show up to meetings if you haven't actually read the book because it's weird and uncomfortable and not funny when you make jokes. Yes, Rufus, I'm talking about you!
I think I might actually go on a vacation this summer. Where to? I don't know! But somewhere. I've never been on a proper going-away vacation.

I did a book club a few years ago and it sort of backfired. So! New Book Club. Rules... well, I get to make them up as we go. Right now I am thinking of a general book club, although if there is enough interest we could do different genres and themes. I think to start off I'll do a random drawing of people in the club and they can pick a book. Then we all read it. Does that sound good? Fun! It could be anything from comics to children's stories. We should have a Harry Potter club, too. Just because there's the movie coming up this summer :D Oh, and those others on the network who may not go to the school are welcome! Teachers too!
So if you are in, reply, and I'll sign you up and post private entries just to the book club so we can discuss things as we go.

| making the library cool one step at a time |

I bought a dark green couch to replace the off white one that everyone just had to put their feet on! I also remodeled the center of the library so there are two chairs, a couch, a coffee table and two end tables plus a floor lamp and a nice geometric patterned carpet! It's like a tiny little comfortable living room.
I also got a shipment in of stuff I bought on my own accord. It's two wall hanging televisions and a bunch of DVDs... learning programs, self-help, documentaries, nature programs and the-like. Each TV has headphones that you can wear in case both televisions are on! And I control the remotes so don't even think about it. Along with that I have four hand held wireless reading devices for news all over the world and hundreds of thousands of books to download at your fingertips.
I also dusted. So I've been sneezing all day. |

I found trash on the floor in the library today and didn't even get a bit mad! How fascinating, I know!
I'm going to go out for some coffee after classes today. Maybe do some Christmas shopping. If anyone wants to come along give me a shout! I might need to get some snow tires put on my car, too. I've got an entire list of things I need to do and such little time to do it all and I just need to relax... so I'll buy some cute slippers for myself, I think! |

I went into town over the weekend to do some shopping and went to see Madagascar by myself to bide some time. Turns out I was in the wrong theater and watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno. It was funny. I laughed a lot. I suppose it was needed. Then I felt guilty because of the kids taken and how can I have fun when they are out there and who knows what is happening to them?

School starts tomorrow and the computers in the library are up and running so I expect people to start using the library more often! Not that I want you brats greasing up my books but they are getting dusty and I sneeze all the time! |

that horrible scottish brute was right
I'm keeping the ice cream machine. Provided there isn't a single incident! There are plenty of napkins and a table for you all to sit still and trash bins as far as the eye can see! Now, I will be contacting those who felt the need to ninja themselves into the Library and do this in the first place, because I know who you are.
